There was a time, I thought I had it all worked out.
You were mine, but then you put your love for me up on a shelf.
Now I'm learning there's more to me than who I was with you.
And although I still don't know myself...
I'm on my way...

And I just smile, at people telling me who I should be,
Even though they try, they can't give me everything I need.
I need to do this on my own to find the key to who I am.
So I leave them all behind....

I wanna take the road less travelled,
I want a chance to see the world,
and I don't know which way I'm going, but I know...

There are times, I don't think I'll make it on my own,
But I keep trying I won't give up in my search for the unknown.
With every step I take I'm closer to a new discovery.
Closer to knowing who I am.
